After returning from the WESTPAC deployment in April 1966 USS SARGO entered the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard for overhaul and its second reactor refueling. Frederick Wolfe IC2(SS)(1966 – 1968) provided the copy of the logo used for the T-Shirt used by the USS SARGO Softball Team, the SARGO POLAR BEARS.
